40ft Tunnel Container Conversion
We were mandated to supply and deliver two x 40ft high-cube shipping containers and convert them to form an 80ft storage container tunnel. After an initial site-survey, we confirmed that this project would be possible and commenced works on the units.
We converted two Grade A 40ft x 8ft x 9ft6in ‘high-cube’ ISO containers and converted them pre-delivery, by removing the shorter 8ft panels and fabricating a steel sheet linking structure.
Both units were fully reconditioned at Bell Container’s depot and painted in the client’s requested dark green colour. The containers were delivered on hi-ab articulated vehicles and carefully placed on pre-laid concrete pads.

In conjunction with the hauliers, Bell Container’s team on-site carried out all linking works, to form an 80ft shipping container storage tunnel – with double doors at either end. Lock-boxes were fitted to both containers to ensure the anti-vandal security of the units were maintained.
Once linked on-site our customer had arranged for his team to carry out a specialist fit-out and, on that basis, images to follow (once all fit-out works are complete).
