We were asked to supply a series of converted shipping containers to a leading Italian restaurant chain for them to use as commercial kitchens across several new sites across the country. Together with our in-house team of fabricators and designers, we created two separate shipping container designs, including a linked container structure of 2 x 20′ x 8′ containers, with an internal access profile, allowing egress between kitchen and storage. As per the images below, units were cleverly designed to include integrated steel personnel door within the ISO container’s original container doors, such that access is made possible through personnel and larger container doors (for bulkier items).

Internally, units were fully insulated and also ply-lined for a smooth finishing, allowing the installation teams to overlay with suitable cladding for commercial kitchen requirements. Some of the units were fitted with a double glazed window unit with mesh protection, as an anti-vandal features.
All units were built to spec, as per client’s requirements and delivered directly to the required site, using self loading (crane equipped) vehicles. It was decided, for some sites, that units should be finished externally in a bespoke green colour. On that basis, we supplied units in the different colours, as required.
