Introducing - Bell Care Pods

In-line with the new social distancing and related norms, we teamed up with a local care home to design and supply a social distancing container pod, to allow family and friends to visit the care home's residents.

Due to the limited space, the design was encompassed within a 10' x 8' steel, storage container.  The unit was fitted with two larger access doors, to allow wheelchairs to enter and exit the unit.  Centrally, as per below images, the unit was fitted with a safety screen constructed out of glass, to ensure each section was completely separated from each-other.

The unit was also fitted with an intercom system, allowing communication between the two sides, via a standalone microphone and speaker.  Integrated USB plug points were also fitted together with LED lights and two additional windows with steel shutters, to allow for day-light during the darker months.

The container care pod was finished externally in a light grey colour to match the existing building.  Given it was a tricky site, we also arranged for the delivery using a specialist transporter who safely delivered the container unit into the care home in North London.

The container conversion project was completed within a very tight time-frame, to meet the care home's requirement so they could commence third party visits, in-line with the Government's guideance on care home visits.

The potential for these container care pods is very large and can be used for a number of functions where people are required to meet, albeit without actually coming into contact.
